Located in a resort, Sekkatei offers an array of Japanese dishes, including sushi, sashimi, and tempura. While it's currently the only Japanese restaurant serving Muslim-friendly meals, buffet-style restaurants also clearly label ingredients, including pork, for your convenience. For a halal menu, be sure to call and make a request at least 2 days in advance!

Halal status: Halal ingredients are used but pork/non-halal meat and/or alcohol is served. Utensils are not separated for halal and non-halal food. You can request for disposable utensils. We advise you to dine at your own discretion.

Donburichaya is a chain that specializes in seafood rice bowls. And with Hokkaido seafood being some of the freshest around, you know you’ll be getting only the sweetest and most delicious raw fish for your next meal. They have a special Muslim-friendly menu that includes donburi topped with seafood, grilled chicken steak, and grilled fatty salmon! While all 3 outlets have some variety of the Muslim-friendly menu, do note that not all dishes may be available!

#HHWT Tip: The Otaru outlet also has a prayer room with ablution area, Qiblat and prayer mats provided.

Halal Status: Halal-certified meat is used for the Muslim-friendly menu, and no pork or alcohol are used for the Muslim menu. Cooking utensils for Muslim-friendly meals are stored separately.
