What to Expect This Year

The theme "Singapore, the Great Port City" will transport you back in time to the era when Singapore's shores were bustling with maritime activity. As you stroll through the Bras Basah Bugis precinct, be prepared to be dazzled by the creative light installations that transform iconic buildings into mesmerizing works of art. Don't miss the remarkable light show that will metamorphose the National Museum of Singapore into a captivating canvas, painting a vivid story of Singapore's maritime history.

The Singapore Chinese Orchestra's performance promises to be a breathtaking journey through time, using music to narrate the captivating history of Singapore as a bustling port city. Engaging workshops and talks will delve into the intricacies of maritime heritage, giving you insights into the rich tapestry of Singapore's past!

Light Projection

The annual light show has an interesting story to tell! Watch how science-fiction aesthetics transports you to the 14th century and share stories of Singapore's history.

If you're looking to be right in the heart of the action, head over to the SMU Campus Green – that's the main festival village, folks! You'll be part of the buzz, the vibe, and the awe-inspiring artistry that is "700 Years."

Waterloo Street Stories

You can catch performances by up and coming local Singers when you explore the precinct! This is the best time to show your support for local talents and dance groups.

Date: 18 & 19 Aug | 25 & 26 Aug

Time: Various timings per day starting from 7pm to 10om

Make sure you properly explore the area from Bras Basah to Bencoolen because you'll find lots of hidden art pieces (make sure you look out for the purple Singapore Night Fest balloon!).
