So, what can you look forward to here? Well, you can look forward to a 78-metre-long multimedia and audio waterslide known as Shaka Waka, fitted with plenty of LED light effects. Whoa! The experience can also be customised by each individual rider before taking the ride and splashing into the pool at the end.

Thrill-seekers may seek out the Wild Rush waterslide, designed with a mix of back-to-back curves, drops, and vortex loops, quickly accelerating vertical and compound curves throughout the ride to get your adrenaline pumping. It ends as visitors plunge into a 3.35 metre-deep pool.

Another highlight is the Atlantis VR, where guests will get to wear virtual reality headgear and begin their 250-metre virtual journey through the Lost City of Atlantis. It is an immersive experience beyond an ordinary waterslide ride.

Drawing inspiration from its surrounding environment, SplashMania Waterpark will be shaded by more than 1,500 trees, including native and endangered tree species. General Manager of Gamuda Land, Sanjay Nadarajah, said the tagline 'Where Nature Meets Fun' forms the essence of SplashMania Waterpark.

"Taking into consideration the natural setting of the waterpark and the surrounding wetlands, we ensured that we dedicate 70% of the waterpark to green spaces.

"The rides and slides in SplashMania are designed by Polin Waterparks and ProSlide Technology who are trusted global leaders as slide developers with exceptional technology and innovative safety records," he said.

A technologically-advanced waterpark

As part of the park's digitalisation efforts, Gamuda Land will introduce its GL Play mobile app for visitors. With the app, customers can purchase their tickets ahead of time through its booking platform. Park-goers will also be able to navigate their way through the waterpark using the park map feature, and pre-order food and beverages to skip the queue.
