Established in 2014, Flavour Flings has definitely made its name in the local halal cafe scene in Singapore! One of the few halal cafes in the North-East of the country, it’s famous for its creative spin on trendy dishes as well as its Swiss Raclette cheese. They’ve just released their version of the viral Yakult cake - read on to find out just what’s in this brand-new dessert! ?

The Yakult cake ($7.90 per slice, $59.90 for a whole cake) first went viral after it was spotted in a bakery in the Philippines, and Flavour Flings has found a way to recreate its sweet and milky flavour! Their sponge cake is soaked in a tres leches milk base before being soaked in Yakult to infuse every inch of the cake with a sweet and tangy taste. Then it’s topped off with a white chocolate ganache glaze to add a touch of decadence! ? The cake is baked fresh daily - and it’s been selling out daily too, so arrive early to secure a slice! If you’re thinking of ordering a whole cake for a special occasion, do remember to place a pre-order at least 3 days in advance. ?

Of course, it wouldn’t be a visit to Flavour Flings without trying their signature Swiss Raclette cheese! They were one of the first halal eateries in Singapore to offer Raclette cheese and unlike other eateries where the Raclette Cheese is a fixed dish on its own, Flavour Flings lets you customise selected dishes with this gooey, stretchy, and creamy topping. ? Pair it with their Beef Steak ($23.90, add-on $5 for Raclette Cheese) for something special, or the Chicken Cutlet with Swiss Raclette Cheese ($23.90) which already comes with a cheesy topping!

P.S. Reserve a table early so you'll be able to get a seat!

You can even add it onto their signature burgers for just $5! If you’re a beef lover then you should definitely try their Cheeseburger Classic ($17.90) which comes with a 150g patty of house beef topped with Emmental cheese and served with a side of spicy Cajun fries. Or if you’re more of a chicken fan, the Brunch Burg ($17.90) is stuffed with not one, but two chicken cutlets(!), Cajun-spiced scrambled eggs, mesclun lettuce, and a generous drizzle of BBQ mayo sauce! ?

With mouth-watering dishes like this, Flavour Flings definitely makes a solid case for why you should make a trip to Singapore’s North-East soon. ?
