Here's some great news to start your Monday: Doraemon is coming to Singapore again this November ? First making its appearance in 2020, with Doraemon’s Time-Travelling Adventures in Singapore, Doraemon will be gracing us with his presence again at The Doraemon Exhibition Singapore 2022.

It will be held at the National Museum of Singapore from 5 November 2022 to 5 February 2023! This will be the first-ever edition outside of Japan - so you definitely have to book the date ?

The exhibition showcases Doraemon through the lens of 28 leading contemporary Japanese artists and arts groups, whose artworks respond to the theme of “Create Your Own Original Doraemon”. Some artists you can expect include Takashi Murakami, who is well-known for the smiling flowers motif in his artworks ? The exhibition will feature distinctive artworks that present the artists’ memories of Doraemon and their take on Japan’s beloved icon, through a mix of ideas, mediums and techniques that include paintings, sculptures, graphics and photography! What would be YOUR original Doraemon though? ?
If you're truly a Doraemon otaku, you'll be excited to see Fujiko F Fujio's, the creator of Doraemon, prized original drawings and sketches on display from Fujiko F Fujio Museum ? This is the first-ever public showcase in Asia so you definitely can't miss this once in a lifetime moment! And of course, you can't leave the exhibition just yet - there's an exclusive line-up of Doraemon merchandise up for purchase, including the Fujiko F Fujio Museum’s and uniquely Singapore versions of original Doraemon collectibles. Just imagine seeing Doraemon as Merlion - that would be super adorable ?
