This time, in collaboration with 100 years of Disney, Jewel is decked out in festive decorations and events happening throughout the year. ? We heard there was going to be a light and sound show and many photo opportunities available so we eagerly visited to find out more. Here’s our review of the attractions and events at the Disney100 event at Jewel!

100 Years of Disney
As a way to celebrate nearly 100 years of Disney storytelling, Jewel Changi Airport has launched Disney100 with a range of Disney-themed activities and retail opportunities! ? This tribute celebrated at Jewel is one of the biggest to be happening in Singapore. From now till 9 April 2023, you can look forward to meet-and-greet sessions with your favourite characters and photo opportunities all around Jewel!
Last weekend was its opening ceremony and we got the opportunity to catch a spectacular light show at the HSBC Rain Vortex in the evening. The light show was a very short one but it managed to show all the iconic movies and characters from the Disney franchise. The light characters and effects were captured against the waterfall and was truly a sight to behold! ? All the excited chatter died down almost immediately when the lights dimmed and the show started.
The fascinating light show accompanied by the serene atmosphere and beautiful Disney music. This experience is great for families with young children because it gives kids the thrill of anticipation of waiting for the show to start and there were even some dance performances by talented individuals! ✨
Photo opportunities at Jewel
There are a total of 10 themed photo spots you can keep a lookout for - 6 on Level 1 (Shiseido Forest Valley) and 4 on Level 5 (Canopy Park). ? Some of the photo opportunities feature Toy Story, Snow White, Steamboat Willie, Star Wars and much more! Our personal favourite photo attraction was the Dr Strange backdrop at the Canopy Park. There was fake snow raining down from the ceiling and we had a blast pretending like we were in a winter wonderland!
The downside is that you’ll have to travel up and down Jewel’s to see all the photo opportunities if you’re not sure where to look, so we would recommend looking up the places and photo attractions you want to see. It’s well worth it because the kids will definitely enjoy the adventure of hunting down all their favourite characters!
Disney pop-up shop
If you love Disney merchandise, you’re not alone! One of the first places we explored at the Disney100 event at Jewel was their Disney merch store in the basement (#B1-219/220). ? You can find Disney embroidered shoes, tote bags, cardigans, cutlery and much more. Currently, there are mostly Tsum Tsum merchandise but soon, they’ll bring in more Disney items.
There are plenty of Disney-themed items for kids, like soft toys, plates, and even clothes and shoes. There’s even a mini arcade at the store for you and your kids to try and win some cute toys and prizes! From March 2023, the pop-up will be transformed into The Wonder Store with even more things to look forward to! We recommend keeping a lookout for promotions during your visit.
