Dubai has long been a popular destination among travellers thanks to its fascinating blend between its desert traditions and awe-inspiring modern developments. Home to the world's tallest building and largest mall, the city just added another impressive record to their list and that's the world's deepest pool!

Housed in the Nad Al Sheba neighbourhood, say hello to Deep Dive Dubai, the only diving facility where you can dive to the depths of 60m (197 ft). That's 15 meters deeper and four times bigger than any other diving pool in the world! As of June 29, The Guinness World Records has officially verified it as the world's deepest swimming pool, beating Poland's DeepSpot which measures at 44m (144 ft) deep.

What makes Deep Dive Dubai extra special is the pool's underwater city! Set as a post-apocalyptic "sunken city", this world far beneath the surface features settings like benches, streetlights and storefronts. Venture further down and you'll find an apartment complete with a bedroom, kitchen, dining area and garage filled with cars, motorbikes, a pool table and more.

Deep Dive Dubai is currently open by invitation only but will officially welcome the public later this year. Among those who have been lucky to experience the pool is Will Smith, Oscar-nominated actor and Grammy-winning musician as well as the crown prince of Dubai, Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum.
