Deanna's Kitchen is easily one of (if not the most!) famous halal prawn mee stall in Singapore, run by Chinese Muslim revert Denise Deanna and her family. Their three outlets in Toa Payoh, Jurong East, and Bedok are some of the few places where you can try a halal version of authentic Chinese prawn noodles. ?

Now, they've introduced a new menu item specially for the Bedok outlet that will satisfy everyone - even those who aren't able to eat prawns or shellfish. ? That's right, the new menu item is none other than fishball noodles! Halal authentic fishball noodles are difficult to find as well, so this is definitely on our must-try list!

The new menu was inspired by customer feedback that friends and family who can't take prawns were unable to try the delicious food from Deanna's Kitchen. The clear soup for the fishball noodles uses ikan bilis and chicken, and does not contain any prawn or shellfish so it's suitable for those with prawn or shellfish allergies and sensitivities! ? The broth is also prepared separately from the prawn noodles broth, although do note that the cutlery and utensils used might be the same, and if you have severe allergies we recommend bringing along your own reusable set of cutlery just in case.

A basic bowl of fishball noodles costs $4.50, and you can choose either mee pok, or mee kia noodles. You can also add on minced chicken ($1), small prawns ($1), or additional fishballs ($1) to customize your bowl to your liking! Each bowl also comes with their special homemade sambal that's also used for the prawn noodles - so you'll get that same delicious Deanna's Kitchen taste! ?

The fishball noodles are currently only available at the Bedok outlet and is not on their delivery service either - so head down to Bedok to try it at their stall and support this launch! If it succeeds, hopefully one day we'll get to dine on fishball mee pok at Toa Payoh or Jurong East too. ?
