As of October 2021, Daboba in Malaysia is halal-certified! The news comes from their social media pages and currently, only three outlets have received the certification from JAKIM. These places include:

  • Daboba Lip Sin - Bangunan Lip Sin, 2-G-2, Lebuh Pekaka 1, Taman Pekaka, 11700 Gelugor, Penang
  • Daboba Arau - Lot 643, Ground Floor, Kompleks Tok, Arau, 02600 Arau, Perlis
  • Daboba Jitra - Lot 1A & 1B, Plot 21, Jalan industri Darulaman 1, Kawasan Perindustrian, Bandar Darulaman, 06000 Jitra, Kedah

If you live anywhere near these outlets, it's time to treat yourself to a yummy bubble tea drink! Other outlets are following suit and in the process of applying for halal certification, so keep your eyes and ears peeled for any updates.
