[UPDATED 16 June 2020]

Nothing screams genuine happiness like a great Korean BBQ, and we're even happier when we find a halal Korean BBQ in Singapore! ? If you've been craving for halal Korean BBQ ever since the circuit breaker, you'd be happy to know that Captain Kim Korean BBQ & Hotpot is reopening its doors on 19 June 2020 (Friday)! That's when Phase 2 of Singapore's Reopening starts.

According to their Instagram post, Captain Kim will only be accepting a limited number of customers for dine-in and it's advised that you make reservations early on their website. The eatery had been closed during the circuit breaker and Phase 1.

If you haven't been to Captain Kim, we're here to tell you why you should! It's one of the few places in Singapore where you can experience an authentic Korean BBQ experience. Yes, we're talking about its grill and an exhaust hood at each table, like those you would see on Korean dramas ? Not to mention that there's each table also comes equipped with a hotpot so you can make your own Korean Army Stew!

You’ll get to enjoy a variety of quality meats that are marinated to perfection with flavours like teriyaki chicken, volcano chicken, rib-eye and more. There’s just something unique about K-BBQ, and watching slabs of well-marinated meat hissing while they cook. We especially love their thinly-sliced shabu-shabu beef that's perfect whether you're grilling it or dipping it in the kimchi soup ?
