The spacious restaurant is perfect if you’re having a meal with a group of friends or family — because dim sums are best shared, amirite? We loved the cosy yet elegant interior as it makes a perfect backdrop for our Instagram feed ? #influencerlife. Wanna know what we had there and if it’s worth a visit? Read on!

1. Crystal Har Gow - RM11.80

This steamed prawn dumpling with translucent skin is a must-try at any dim sum restaurant and it should not be missed here at Canton Boy! It arrived hot and steamy and the burst of flavour at first bite is just *chef’s kiss*.

2. Shang Hai Xiao Long Bao - RM9.80

This may have an unattractive look, but you know the saying “Don’t judge a book by its cover?” Yeah, that should be applied here as well. Take a small bite, slurp the superior soup then enjoy the dumpling!

3. Thai Style Beancurd Roll - RM10.80

Moving away from dumplings, the Thai Style Beancurd Roll serves the perfect balance of sweet and spicy. Perfect if you’re a fan of spicy dumplings!

4. Salted Egg Lava Charcoal Bao - RM8.80

This oft charcoal bun with flowy salted egg custard is the perfect ending for a meal as it’s quite sweet. The charcoal bao is soft and we recommend eating it while it’s still hot!

5. Roasted Chicken Rice - RM18.80

If you need something heavy, you can’t go wrong with Roasted Chicken Rice! The chicken skin is glazed and crispy, the jasmine rice is fragrant and the chilli and ginger sauce is the perfect condiment to enjoy this dish. ? would recommend it.

6. Crispy Prawn Rice Roll - RM13.80

Chee Cheong Fun, anyone? It’s a must-have at any dim sum restaurant! We loved that the rice roll is filled with a crispy layer of deep-fried prawn and how it stays crispy in the rice rolls is beyond us.

7. Marmite Fried Chicken - RM10.80

You don’t have to be a Marmite fan to enjoy this dish! Trust us, we’re not a fan of Marmite either. But marinate some chickens in the sweet and salty concoction, and we’re sold. The chicken stays crispy and full of bursting flavours!

8. Dessert time!

As a sweet finish, we had the Mango Pomelo Dessert (RM10.80), a bowl of chilled cream of fresh mango with basil seeds and pomelo. It’s super refreshing and a perfect finish to our meal! We also had the Signature Portuguese Egg Tart RM7.80 (for two pieces), a crispy pastry shell with creamy custard. You can never go wrong with egg tarts and this was a delight to the senses.

We loved that Canton Boy offers a wide range of dim sums and other delicious Chinese dishes. The prices are quite reasonable as well for the quality of the food. We loved the fast service and the staff were attentive. We’d definitely come back for more dim sums!
