Good news for late afternoon snackers and the sweet-toothed! Just when you think you’ve seen all kinds of martabaks across Southeast Asia, there’s an eatery in Kuala Lumpur that is serving martabak with a twist! 😃

Say hello to Tetangga Kita! Situated at Hartamas Shopping Centre, this charming eatery has been serving creative spins of martabaks since last year. Not to be confused with murtabak (Indian-Muslim or Arabic stuffed flatbreads), martabak is a popular Indonesian street food, which is pretty similar to apam balik.

You can spot classic flavours like kaya and butter at Tetangga Kita, but don’t be surprised to find Martabak Samyang on the menu. Yes, we’re talking about the same spicy instant ramen that has been making their rounds online! If you love playing with fire, you know this ramen-stuffed martabak is your match 🤤

For the sweet-toothed, you’re going to love savouring Martabak Manis Milo, Martabak Ovomaltine and Martabak Lotus Biscoff! Whether you choose to have these martabaks thick or crispy thin, it would be the perfect afternoon snack for you. We recommend going for the thick and fluffy version because everyone loves a huge portion 😜

Once you’re done, wash it down with the eatery’s signature soda gembira, classic Susu Bear or famous Teh Botol! Just the perfect way to end your yummy treat! 😊
