Psst… guess what? Our favourite Singapore Idol has just set up an eatery selling halal fried chicken in Singapore. Yes, Taufik Batisah is one of the co-owners of Chix Hot Chicken specialising in halal Nashville-style fried chicken. There’ve been a lot of rumours surrounding the eatery and its opening and now it’s finally operational 🎉
Yes, we feel you – we’re as excited too 😱 Now if you’re wondering what’s the draw since it’s just fried chicken, their Nashville Hot Chicken is breaded and coated with one of the world’s “spiciest peppers”, the ghost chilli, and has a crispy hot finish. It’s served with white bread and pickle chips.

But wait, we still haven’t got to the best part yet! There are 3 levels of spice you can choose from for your chicken – mild hotness, extra hotness and insane hotness 😱 So spice lovers, you definitely want to challenge yourself to this.

You can also have your chicken in a burger. Get their Soul Sliders – 2 boneless chicken burgers served with slaw, pickles and pink mayo. We’re pretty sure you’ll be left thoroughly satisfied when you bite into this crunchy and flavourful chicken thighs. If their spicy chicken is not for you, get the milder version, The Original – buttermilk fried chicken made from spices inspired from New Orleans 🤤
P.S. They even have chicken and waffles on Sundays too!

And who knows while you’re there, you might even get to rub shoulders with Taufik himself 😍 While the man is not in charge of cooking the scrumptious food there, he actually did some handy work like designing the toilet and drilling some shelves!
As Chix Hot Chicken is still in their soft launch phase, they have limited supply every day so you better head down early to get your hands on them. Don’t worry though, the eatery will officially be opened on 19 June so you don’t need to wait too long before they’re open at more regular hours, with a more steady supply of chickens too 🤗
Chix Hot Chicken is a Muslim-owned eatery.
