[These Muslim-friendly resorts in Maldives are simply breathtaking!]

While we largely remember Thailand as the land of smiles, street food and scenic views, this popular destination comes with their own best-kept secrets that money can buy. All you need is a high Platinum limit and a love for life’s finest things – and the secret is yours.

  • Just returned from The Naka Island Resort. My family and I went there because it's mentioned on your website that it is a Muslim friendly resort. We always refer to this website as our travel guide but this time, we felt cheated and so so so disappointed. It was the most awful holiday for us. Upon booking, the reservation manager informed us that they don't have halal meat but the restaurants are all pork free. But once we're there, we found many pork dishes on the menu. During our 3rd day there, breakfast time, my siblings accidentally took pork dim sum as they're told those dim sums were confirmed to be shrimp dim sum. We're so traumatized that we didn't take anymore food on the island and had to get our meals from outside. Not to mention the service by the resort staff, communication problem, everything was so poor. We paid a hefty amount of money to have a good holiday and it turned out to be the worst that we ever had. Not recommended to anyone!
    • Salam Hani, thank you so much for reaching out to us. We’re terribly sorry that you had to experience this :( The information in all of our articles are accurate at the time of publishing. We’ve also checked with certain publications and were aware that there was halal food availability at the hotel itself, and contacted the hotel personally to confirm. We’ve removed this resort from our article thanks to the information that you have provided. Without help from the community, we wouldn't be able to continue doing what we do and are humbled every time someone like yourself shares their experiences with us 😞 Once again, we're truly sorry for the unpleasant experience and hope that you'll keep supporting us at HHWT.
  • […] [Looking for gorgeous luxury accommodation in Thailand?] […]
  • Just a small correction on the Paresa resort. I just returned from there and there are no male spa therapists, unfortunately. My husband wanted one and it was not available. Also Amatara does have halal options and free alcohol rooms. :) Lovely selection, need to check out the rest :)
  • Hi, I would like to get clarification regarding the halal dining options. You have mentioned that all the above hotels/resorts have halal dining options but specifically mentioned No.4. Pullman Bangkok Grande Sukhumvit in brackets as having halal-certified poultry. So, what about the other hotels/resorts that you have mentioned as having halal dining options? Aren't their poultry also halal-certified?
    • Hi Sano! Our apologies for the late reply. "Halal dining options" meant that the hotels/resorts have halal restaurants/eateries. Pullman's restaurants are not halal but some of the restaurants serve halal-certified meat. Hope this clarifies! :)
