Calling all Northies and dim sum lovers!
If you’re always on the hunt for the perfect siew mai or that satisfying ooze of a salted egg bun, we’ve found a gem you absolutely need to add to your list. Say hello to Ayah Dimsum, a humble spot in Ang Mo Kio that’s serving up authentic, handmade, Muslim-owned goodness!
Whether you’re looking for a quick breakfast or a casual lunch with the fam, this spot is proving that you don't need to head to a fancy restaurant for quality dim sum.
A Tribute to "Ayah"
You might be wondering—why the name "Ayah"? The stall is co-owned by Atiqah Ho, a Chinese Muslim and makeup artist who decided to venture into the F&B world alongside her close friend Vicky (the owner of Friends Kitchen HK).
The name is a deeply personal tribute to Atiqah’s late father. By naming the stall "Ayah" (which means Father in Malay), Atiqah has created a lasting legacy that carries his memory in every handmade dumpling. It’s that sincerity and love for family that make every bite feel extra special!
Handmade with Heart

True to the spirit of its name, everything at Ayah Dimsum is crafted with care. You won't find generic frozen items here!
Their Chicken Siew Mai ($2.50) is a fan favourite—meaty, juicy, and topped with roe. If you’re a fan of that satisfying crunch, their Fried Beancurd Skin Roll is an absolute winner.
The Star of the Show: Salted Egg Buns

You simply cannot visit without trying their Salted Egg Custard Buns.
Whether you like them classic (steamed) or with a little extra decadence (fried), the filling is rich, creamy, and has that iconic golden flow. At these prices, you’ll definitely want to order an extra basket for the table!

Located right in the heart of the community at Cheng San Crest, the vibe is humble and welcoming.
Aside from dim sum, they also serve up hearty mains like Nasi Lemak and Mee Rebus, making it a one-stop spot for a satisfying meal with your own Ayah, Ibu, and the whole family.
