This story about the Avillion Port Dickson water chalet is written by one of our contributors, Afie. Some parts of the article may have been edited for length and clarity.

I went to Port Dickson, Negeri Sembilan on 26th of July 2020. The purpose of going to PD was to hike Bukit Batu Putih, enjoy the beautiful sunset and just to chill and relax there. I stayed over for 1 night only with my best friend. We chose Avillion because we wanted to experience their water chalet and beach.

My trip to Port Dickson

We arrived at PD at around 2pm and went for lunch at Kafe Kampung Kaw; there were lots of people there. We had the delicious Nasi Lemak Kambing and tried their famous roti gemuk.

We arrived for check-in at Avillion at 3pm. We needed to queue up for about 30 mins for check-in as there were quite a lot of people also.

After check-in, we went hiking at Bukit Batu Putih. We enjoyed the trail and captivating scenery at the top of Bukit Batu Putih. We also wandered around Cape Rachado Lighthouse afterwards.

On the way back to Avillion, we stopped at Pantai Nelayan Batu 4 to watch the gorgeous sunset. Had dinner at King's Char Kuey Teow.

Back at Avillion, we had a nice walk along the nearby beach to enjoy the breezy night. Then, it was back at the room to just relax and watch a movie at the veranda.

Later in the morning, we just strolled around the resort and the beach.

After checking out, we tried the mouth-watering cendol at Cendol Anau. That marked the end of our short yet lovely trip.

Ambience and rooms at Avillion Port Dickson

The hotel consists of 3 chalets - Garden Chalet, Water Chalet and Premium Water Chalet. It has a very nice landscape. The location is convenient and easy to find.

The resort is quite big and has a lot of activities to do, but due to MCO, some parts are closed. For example, the AviSpa and sauna are closed. They also have a rabbit farm and aviary.

I stayed at a Water Chalet. The room that I stayed in was quite old. But that said, the range per night for the Water Chalet is RM250-350. I booked the resort through Agoda because they gave the best promo as compared to other booking/hotel websites.

For those of you travelling with kids, there's a kids' pool, playground, kids' cabin and kids' spa. Unfortunately, during MCO, the kids' cabin and spa are closed.

There's also a spa and sauna for adults but these were also closed due to MCO. But you can still stroll along the beach and picnic. There's a lookout point to enjoy the view.

  • It's a perfect getaway
  • Affordable price
  • Good facilities, neat and clean
