This experience of the Avani Sepang Goldcoast Resort is written by one of our contributors, Adibah. She stayed at the Avani Sepang Family Villa with her family during the trip. The resort is currently having a reopening promotion so, do read on to find out more! Some parts of the article may have been edited for length and clarity.

My family and I went to Avani Sepang Goldcoast Resort in Dec 2019. It was the school holidays and some tourists brought their children to the resort. It takes 3 hours to arrive at the resort. I think this resort has good customer service because they picked up us with a buggy at the parking lot to go to the lobby as the parking lot is quite far from the resort. As you can see the design of the room or house itself is very unique and fabulous.

From the aerial view, we could see that it seems like a palm tree. The leaves itself are the rooms and houses and the centre has a spa and dining room. I was awestruck to see the design because it was very cool. As we love the beach and island scenery, we could see clearly the sea water and the scenery from my room was absolutely magnificent, Ma Syaa Allah. You know when you see the calm and breezy view and left your work or studies behind, you can reduce your stress easily. I think being at the resort really helped to release stress!

Next, I want to share about their room. Oh my god, it was very beautiful. My family and I stayed at Avani Family Villa. There are 6 people in my family including me, so we had one room for the boys and one room for the girls. It has free wi-fi, located at the overwater palm area, a private terrace, lounge area, separate balcony for two rooms and mini-fridge. They have other rooms such as Avani Superior Room, Avani Two Bedroom Villa, Avani Three Bedroom Villa. If you bring a huge family, you may try the two-bedroom villa to have more space with your family. We decided to stay for 3 days 2 nights as my mom likes to have a chill holiday trip. Each of the room has its own toilet and balcony to have a seat while looking at the beach views.

My family picked Avani Family Villa because that room is big, affordable and suitable for our family members. This room rates were from RM629. In general, the price range starts from RM359 to RM2,049. Actually, I could say that this resort is quite expensive but if you go there on weekdays and during promotion season, the price is affordable! Avani is currently having its reopening promotion from just RM360 per night which includes free breakfast and RM40 food and beverage credits per room per night.

What I like the most about Avani Resort is their room design and fast customer service. It is because some staff at the hotels that we’ve been to were really bad and unfriendly. But, the staff at this resort were really nice and helpful to their customers.

Avani Resort has nice scenery and it's perfect for tourists who want to calm and clear their mind to release their stress. Can you imagine living in a busy town, noisy and packed with people? By having a trip like this, we could spend more time with family while releasing stress.

The weather just nice, calm and breezy. I couldn’t help myself to control my joy at the resort.

Activities at Avani Sepang Resort

The resort has a gym and a swimming pool which is located near the dining room. Around the resort, I managed to brisk-walk and rode a bicycle.

I took this picture at around 7.40am while cycling on the main road

Before we went back home, my mom went to their spa to have a relaxing massage. The spa workers were very friendly and their treatment and services were really good.

On some nights, they also have a fire show which you can enjoy.

Halal food at Avani Sepang

Alhamdulillah, they serve halal food for tourists. In the morning we ate at the dining room. Their dining room was really huge because they have two sections to eat at and they have a lot of food and beverages. You can try their roti canai, nasi lemak, rendang and mee kari as they have several types of cuisine such as Malay cuisine, Chinese cuisine, Indian cuisine and Western cuisine. Their rendang and nasi lemak was very delicious in my opinion. Alhamdulillah the dining room just serves halal food and if non-Muslims wanted to have non-Halal food, they can go to some of the other restaurants in the resort itself.

If you walk a little bit further from the resort, you'll find many types of restaurants with "ikan bakar" that serves delightful seafood for the customers who love seafood. Some of these places are Restoran Terapung H.M. Sri Bagan, Restoran Bayu Malam Wak Lan Ikan Bakar& Seafood, Restoran Senandung Malam Seafood and also Bagan Lalang Sea View Restaurant.

Useful tips for other travellers

  • If you're bringing kids, make sure that you pick the best date because sometimes the resort is fully booked. Make sure that you choose the right time to go on holidays with family.
  • As for Muslim, make sure you bring your prayer equipment by ourselves. Since we in a pandemic, it's better to make sure that your items are clean to use. Some hotel or resorts have provided the kiblat arrow but you can also use Muslim Pro for the more information.
  • If you want the best view at Avani, all of the rooms have good views, but you can also pick the Avani Villa because the room has a really stunning view!
