So, what's new with the Apple Watch Series 6? You can expect new health and fitness features that'll help you understand your overall well-being better! The main highlight is its Blood Oxygen sensor and app which measures oxygen saturation in your blood and helps you get a closer look at your overall fitness and wellness.

Apple Watch's operating system, watchOS 7 also has a range of new health and fitness features like sleep tracking, automatic handwashing detection and new workout types. But what's most striking is the Family Setup function where family members without the iPhone can still make full use of the features of the Apple Watch. For instance, kids can use apps like Emergency SOS or a new mode called Schooltime where they can stay focused while studying. Older adults can use the new Health Checklist with features like fall detection.

Prices for the Apple Watch Series 6 starts from SGD599 and you can start pre-ordering on their website.

More affordable option - Apple Watch SE

For those looking for a more affordable option, the Apple Watch SE's got you covered! You can get the same design and large displays of the Apple Watch Series 6 but at a lower price. Prices start from SGD419 on their website.

In the first-of-its-kind programme, Apple and Singapore's Health Promotion Board (HPB) have also worked together to launch the LumiHealth app. The app uses the functions of the Apple Watch to help you with your fitness goals and healthy habits. You can expect personalised reminders, weekly activity goals and earn rewards of up to SGD380! Using the app is like playing a game with a friendly "intergalactic explorer" guiding you. The more goals and challenges you complete, the more points you'll get and you can earn rewards. These challenges may range from physical activities to mindfulness and adopting better food choices. The best part is that these goals are personalised according to your age, gender, fitness levels and so on. The programme is both fun and can help you achieve your fitness goals! Do note that you'll need an Apple Watch for the programme to work.

The LumiHealth app will be on the App Store from late-October onwards.

So, if you've been waiting for the new Apple Watch Series 6 or planning to up your fitness game, it's time to check out Apple's new offerings ?
