Halal Japanese Restaurants:

1. Fu-Men Japanese Udon & Donburi Restaurant

Udon is one of our favourite Japanese dishes. But did you know that each region of Japan has its variation of this popular dish? You can even try the Fukuoka region’s famous Hakata Udon here in Singapore at Fu-Men! ?

Fu-Men is headed by chef Teppei Yamashita, born in Fukuoka and runs the famous Teppei Japanese Restaurant chain. Hakata Udon is rarely found outside of Japan so getting to have a halal version in Singapore is truly something special. What sets Hakata Udon apart is its soft noodles, and rich, clear broth - one sip of the warm soup flavoured with kelp, anchovies, and fish stock is enough to leave you feeling energised!

Make sure to get the Gobo Ten bowl topped with burdock root tempura, one of the signature toppings for this dish. The sweet and crunchy burdock pairs perfectly with the chewy noodles! You can add side dishes such as sliced duck meat, spicy chicken karaage, or soft-boiled onsen eggs to make your dish perfect.
