1. Bugis Street

Just a stone’s throw away from Bugis train station lies a bargain shopper’s paradise. With more than 600 shops, it is the best and most exciting place to do some street shopping in Singapore. With many clothes, food, drinks and colourful souvenirs, one can easily get lost here in the labyrinth-like alleys!

The first floor is non-airconditioned, but we suggest heading up to the air-conditioned upper floors to escape the heat and more quirky items that won’t cause a dent in your wallet! Pick from trendy and timeless pieces that fit perfectly in your wardrobe and shoe rack. 2. Lucky Plaza

As the name suggests, you may get lucky finding the perfect top or shoes for you! Sure, it may get a tad crowded on weekends, but there are many jewellery stores, watches, apparel and accessory stores in the building. There are occasional fleas held here as well!

If you are already somewhere in Orchard – Singapore’s most luxurious street - drop by Lucky Plaza to feast your eyes on some non-high-end products to give your wallet a break. Having said that, there are so many gorgeous clothes and fashion accessories to uncover here. The items are on the cheap and affordable end, and it’s no harm in adding a pretty piece or two to your wardrobe. You may even try your luck with bargaining skills with the sellers there! Besides clothes, there are also plenty of Singapore souvenirs and unique snacks to bring home, so spend some time visiting Lucky Plaza before your flight home.

3. IMM Outlet Stores

Ever heard of a place where there are sales 365 days a year? And who says luxurious buys have to be so expensive all the time? If you are looking for branded items, IMM is the place to visit next at great bargains! This factory outlet mall is undoubtedly a must-visit. Some local and international labels are available here, such as Nike, Timberland, Outlet by Club 21, COACH, Furla, and Kate Spade. It also houses outlet shops which sell luggage, electronics, shoes, household items and winter clothes!

A hypermarket also complements the mall and restaurants when you get hungry while shopping. Outlet by Club 21 even houses big labels such as DKNY and Marc by Marc Jacobs. They carry a good collection of off-season products at exceptional prices - from 50% to 80% off! Although Jurong East may seem out of the way, it is definitely worth the trip. Far East Plaza is also great if you are looking for cheap spa day deals. Don’t be deceived by the grubby-looking exteriors of the mall. Look a bit deeper to find great deals and trendy loots! Do not be discouraged by the façade of this unique hexagonal-shaped mall. While it was built in 1976, it is still frequented by those who shop for a range of skater wear, sportswear, hiking equipment, soccer apparel and shoes. While many mega malls are flooding this country, this shopping mall could just provide that unique experience for shoppers weary of city life. As it is wholesale, you could team up with some of your pals to get more pieces and bigger discounts.
