The Travelling Spoon is a new venture that aims to come up with authentic flavours of classic Asian food in ready-to-eat packaging, and the meals are ready in just 4 minutes! They have collaborated with two local hawker favourites – Qiu Lian Ban Mee and Chew Kee Soy Sauce Chicken.
Qiu Lian Ban Mee has been a household name among locals since 1988 ? They are known for their rice soup base and springy, handmade Ban Mian (a type of pan mee noodles).
The Travelling Spoon has collaborated with them to develop a specially formulated spicy sauce. Served with a generous amount of ingredients like minced chicken (replaces pork), ikan bilis, meatball, fishcake, mushrooms, and of course, the ever-popular Ban Mian, you'll be slurping them up in no time! ?
Starting in 1949, Chew Kee began selling Singapore’s first Soy Sauce Chicken. From its original outlet at No. 8 Upper Cross Street, Chew Kee continues to serve its legendary dishes with a 70-year-old recipe that spans over three generations ? Braised in their signature umami-rich sauce, the result is an incredibly flavourful and succulent chicken we know you can't get enough of. This tasty dish also comes with silky smooth hor fun, tau kua (dried bean curd), quail eggs, chilli, and a luscious gravy for a burst of flavours in every bite! ?
Qiu Lian Minced Chicken Dry Ban Mee and Chew Kee Soy Sauce Chicken with Hor Fun are both priced at $5.80 each.
So what are you waiting for? Pop by any 7-Eleven outlets nearby you now! We're really excited to hear about convenient halal food options for us! We're looking forward to more halal options from The Travelling Spoon! ?
