Midnight Meals: Here Are Some Late Night Halal Food That May Be Near You

Every once in a while we might feel a little bit peckish as we stay up late watching our favourite shows or scrolling through Instagram. And while instant noodles or quick snacks just might do, sometimes we need a little bit more. So if you're the type of person that loves having midnight supper but not so much making said midnight meals, this one's for you. HHWT has compiled a list of halal food eateries in Singapore that are as good as open 24-hours, and they might just be near you!

Disclaimer: Do note that for some of these outlets, only the drink stalls are open 24 hours, so it's best to check or call the outlet before making your way down.

24-Hour Eateries That May Be Near You

1. Al-Azhar Restaurant

This Indian-Muslim restaurant is very popular amongst youngsters. The open concept makes the restaurant feel more like a coffee shop rather than those usual “atas” restaurants you see around. Al-Azhar has the ability to accommodate large groups (well, assuming  and their service is satisfactory round the clock too.  The branch at Bukit Timah has been renovated and they now serve Italian and Mediterranean cuisines as well!

The all-time favorite dishes at the old branch are their Butter Masala Chicken, Butter Naan, Thosai, Murtabak and Cockles Fried Kway Teow! They serve a huge variety of other food as well. Take your time to flip through their menu!

2. Ameen Makan House

Another popular late night hangout spot is over at this eating-house! They have a huge variety of food on their menu too, but you should definitely try their Indian cuisine ? Ameen Makan House serves great Teh Tarik (Pulled milk tea), Briyani, Masala Chicken, Naans and also Tandoori Chicken!

4. R.K. Eating House Pte Ltd

How cool is it to have the tallest tissue prata for supper? R.K. Eating house is famous for its Milo and Teh Tarik towers and the tallest tissue prata! You are even able to choose sauces to go with your tissue prata – chocolate, strawberry, maple syrup or honey. Their pratas are handmade to perfection, crispy and fluffy, and the portion is definitely value for money!

Many young crowds choose to come to this eating-house due to their accommodating menus that are perfect for gatherings. Other recommended dishes are their Butter Chicken and Cheese Naan!

This very famous late night hangout spot is situated at Jalan Kayu and Bukit Batok! If you're craving for Thosai, Nasi Lemak or Murtabak, Thohirah Restaurant is definitely the place to go!

The basmati rice used for their Nasi Lemak is so fluffy, and their sambal is also mildly spicy, which is suitable for those with weaker stomach. Of course not forgetting their super crispy ikan bilis and chicken wings! With a combination like this, we bet no one can resist the temptation.

Other dishes to try here include their Mutton Murtabak, Thosai and also Milo Dinosaur.
