Yassin Kampung Seafood is a favorite go-to among the families living nearby. One of their outlets (yes there are 2!) was originally located in the old Woodlands Town Centre, but they have now relocated to a hidden spot near the Woodlands Checkpoint.

Specialising in seafood and in hopes of emulating a fisherman’s village, this restaurant serves a variety of dishes if you’re looking for a feast. Try their Butter Milk with Salted Egg Yolk Chicken because might as well treat yourself when you’re already having a late-night meal, am I right? 😏

My family often patronizes Yassin Kampung Seafood and our personal favourite is their Kampung Ayam Penyet with Rice. The rice is delicious by itself when eaten with the fried chicken, but adding in some of the Sambal Belacan (chilli) is a must for that extra kick! The stall also sells Western and Thai cuisine, so if you’re open to several options, this is the perfect spot to visit!

This Indian-Muslim restaurant is very popular among youngsters. The open concept makes the restaurant feel more like a coffee shop rather than those usual “atas” restaurants you see around. Al-Azhar has the ability to accommodate large groups and their service is satisfactory round the clock too.
